QA Tech

In this position, the Quality Technician performs dimensional and/or functional inspection on flexible packaging materials. The QA Technician utilizes technical expertise and inspection instrumentation to verify conformance of finished products to printing graphic design specifications, functional specifications, and food safety compliance requirements. They conduct functions to inspect, test, assess and record product quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:

Inspects and tests products to ensure they meet customer expectations and product specifications.

Prepares routine and special reports including gathering, imputing, summarizing and interpreting data.

Possesses basic understanding of printing, laminating, pouch making of plastic films.

Advises production personnel of quality problems.

Communicates with management regarding non-conforming product in order for timely corrections to be made

Trains other employees on quality assurance procedures and standards.

Follows and participates in plant safe housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment. Participates in the SQF and HACCP programs.

Experience running report using Excel and Microsoft Office Programs.

Excellent communication skills are required.

Excellent attention to detail is essential.

Education Requirement

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Physical Demands

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

The employee must be willing to work a 12 hour rotating shift from 7pm to 7am.
