Converting Shift Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the Slitting, Pouch and Lamination production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

• Optimize safety (food packaging and workplace), quality, yield, and productivity.

• Train and coach shift associates.

• Conduct associate performance reviews.

• Responsible for shift schedule to include: workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.

• Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.

• Responsible to meet shift production goals.

• Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.

• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Communicate with other Shift Supervisors, Production Manager and Plant Manager.

• Ensure a clean and safe work area.

• Complete shift paperwork.

• Assist in production as necessary.

• Manipulate WIP and raw material rolls in excess of 1000 lbs. using material handling equipment.

• Assure compliance with all SQF Procedure requirements.
